SaskEnergy Scholarships for Indigenous Students

Eligibility: Open to students entering studies in:
  • Arts (Economics, English, History, Political Science)
  • Commerce
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Science (Computer Science, Geological Sciences, Resource and Environmental Studies, Renewable Resource management)
Candidates must:
  • have lived in Saskatchewan for a minimum of 12 consecutive months preceding the date of application,
  • have a minimum admission average of 70%,
  • have demonstrated volunteerism and leadership skills, financial need and community involvement,
  • verified Indigenous community membership/ citizenship (First Nations, Métis, Inuit).


By their application candidates grant permission for USask to provide their name, course of study and submitted statement to SaskEnergy for publication purposes, should they receive the award. SaskEnergy requests that recipients provide a photograph for publication purposes.
Selection criteria: Academic achievement (40%), financial need (40%), and submitted statement (20%)
