Schulich Leader Scholarships

Value: $120,000 (for Engineering)
$100,000 (for science, technology or mathematics)

Number offered: 100 scholarships awarded annually across 20 partner universities
Eligibility: To be eligible, students must:
  • Graduate high school or cégep in the 2025-26 academic year
  • Be a Canadian citizen
  • Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program at a partner university, such as the University of Saskatchewan.
Schulich is NOT considering students who:
  • Focus on activism (environmental/political/ social)
  • Intend to become a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
  • Intend to become a Professor and conduct theoretical research
Selection criteria: A Schulich Leader is a Nominee who has been selected by one of the 20 partner universities to receive $120,000 or $100,000 to pursue an undergraduate degree in an eligible STEM program.

This dynamic student must meet the following criteria:
  1. Entrepreneurial-minded (exhibiting leadership, charisma and creativity)
  2. Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
  3. Intend to pursue a career in one or more of the following areas: A) Technology B) Engineering C) Entrepreneurship and business enterprise D) Applied scientific research

Deadline: School representative submits nomination online. Email info@uja.schulichleaders.com to be sent the link. Nomination deadline is January 28, 2026.

Once the nomination is verified by the Schulich Leader Scholarships office, the student is emailed a link to the scholarship application. Scholarship application deadline is February 18, 2026 at 12pm ET.
