When you apply to one of the University of Saskatchewan's direct-entry colleges, an admission average will be calculated using the subjects and grades that appear on your transcript(s). If you are interested in a non-direct program such as Medicine or Law, consult the program page for details about how students are selected.

High school

If you are currently enrolled in high school, we will calculate your admission average using this five-mark formula:

  • One English
  • One math
  • Three other approved subjects:
    • Maximum of two natural sciences
    • Maximum of two social sciences or humanities
    • Maximum of one fine or performing art

For applicants who:

  • are currently enrolled in high school, marks for Grade 11-level subjects may be used as predictors for performance in Grade 12-level subjects if an appropriate Grade 12-level subject has not already been completed.
  • are international students, we’ll convert your marks to correspond with Canadian grading systems.
  • have completed high school, only marks for senior-level (Grade 12) subjects will be used.
  • already graduated but have undertaken little or no other post-secondary education (less than 18 credits), we will calculate your admission average using your high school marks.
  • have attempted/completed 18 credit units of transferable courses or more at another college or university, see transfer information below.
