1. Find a program

We offer degree, diploma and certificate programs in more than 150 areas of study across our diverse colleges and schools.

2. Learn the requirements and deadlines

Admission requirements include things like required classes, minimum admission averages and proficiency in English. The requirements and deadlines you need to meet will depend on:

  • the program you are interested in
  • when you want to start classes
  • whether this is your first time going to university

Apply early to take advantage of benefits like early admission and access to scholarships. Some scholarship applications are due before the application deadline.

3. Apply for admission

Create an admissions account

To apply to most programs at USask, you will need to create an admissions account at apply.usask.ca. Use an email address you will have access to throughout the admissions process to ensure you can receive communications from the university about your application.

Need help accessing your account?
If you think you already have a USask admissions account but aren't able to recall the email address you used to create it or no longer have access to that email inbox in order to reset your password, contact the Admissions Office at 306-966-5788 or admissions@usask.ca for help.

A USask admissions account is different from a PAWS account.

Fill out and submit your application

The online application takes about 30 minutes to complete. It is possible to start an application, save it and return to finish and submit it later if you need to.

When filling out the application, be prepared to provide:

  • Your name, contact information and biographical information
  • Your educational history, including previous post-secondary education
  • Your planned program of study

In general, you should only submit one application for admission unless you are applying for multiple non-direct entry or graduate-level programs. If you are applying to university for the first time or are applying as a transfer student to most bachelor degree programs, you will be able to indicate a first and second choice program when applying.

  • A Visa or MasterCard to pay the application fee

For most programs, a minimum, non-refundable $90 CDN application fee is required to submit your application. Refer to your program page for specific fee information.

Release of application information
If another person, such as a family member, school counsellor, or other representative will be contacting the university on your behalf, you (the applicant) must give permission for us to disclose information concerning the application. You can provide this permission when filling out your application for admission or by providing an authorization form.

Changing your application
If you need to make changes to an application that you have already submitted, do not fill out a new application. Submit your request, along with your full name and date of birth to admissions@usask.ca.
