Reminder, this is a non-refundable deposit with limited refund criteria for exceptions. All refund requests are reviewed for eligibility and must include appropriate documentation at the time of submission. All unused deposits after the winter term registration deadline, will be forfeited at that time.
- If you paid your deposit by Flywire, you can obtain your transaction receipt directly in Flywire. If you paid via Moneris, you would have received an automatic email from the University containing your transaction receipt.
- If someone paid the deposit on your behalf, whoever made the payment will be able to obtain the transaction receipt as per the instructions above.
- Deposits are non-refundable. If you decide not to attend the University after a deposit is paid, you forfeit your deposit if you do not register by the winter term registration deadline. When your deposit is forfeited, your account is charged an amount equivalent to the deposit paid, and the deposit paid is offset against the charge.
- For more information about your specific program deposit, please contact the college directly.
Exceptions eligible for refund
The deposit is non-refundable in most circumstances. It will be applied to your tuition and fees after you register for classes.
If you do not meet the criteria for an exception, and you have an unused deposit for the academic year, your deposit will be forfeited after the winter term class registration deadline.
Exceptions will be considered only in the following cases:
- Your study permit application was unsuccessful. You will be required to submit proof of the refusal of your study permit.
- We are unable to endorse you for a provincial attestation letter (PAL), such as if the quotas for certain programs have been reached.
- You experienced a serious, unanticipated medical/emergency situation involving you or your immediate family that prevents you beginning your studies at USask. These will be considered case-by-case and will require supporting documentation.
Refunds are subject to a $100 administrative fee.
USask only accepts the international student tuition deposit to confirm your admission through the steps described above. Please follow them carefully.
USask does not accept online payments directly from your bank to pay this deposit.
If you sent funds to USask using another method by mistake, please submit a Student Finance inquiry.
